1、 Slag ball content analyzerpurpose
This productAccording to the GB/T5480.5-2008 standard for testing mineral wool and its products, the slag ball content can be analyzed for glass wool and its products, slag wool, rock wool and its products, and aluminum silicate wool and its products. It has the characteristics of small size, beautiful and practical appearance, and is an essential instrument for laboratories

Usage steps
1 Preparation of samples
Select the sample according to GB/T5480.5-2004 and cut about 11g of the full thickness specimen. For glass wool and its products, burn at (500 ± 20) ℃ for more than 30 minutes; For silica wool and its products, burn at (700 ± 20) ℃ for more than 30 minutes. Remove the adhesive and weigh accurately to 0.01g. The number of samples shall be in accordance with the product standards, but shall not be less than 3.
Pressing the sample
Put the weighed sample into the corresponding sample cylinder and place it on the press for manual screw pressure.
Wet sample
Take out the compressed sample and place it in a 250mL measuring cup. Add 50mL of surfactant solution and stir thoroughly to wet and disperse the fibers in the solution.
Separation test
Transfer all samples into the separation cylinder.
Turn on the water source switch to set the flow rate of the rotor flowmeter to 60mL/min, and maintain this flow rate until the fibers are dispersed and suspended in the water.
Increase the water flow rate to (120-180) mL/min and continue separating for about 10 minutes.
After the water in the separation cylinder is clarified, open the slag discharge valve at the lower end of the separation cylinder and use water flow to completely discharge the slag balls into a standard sieve with a side length not greater than the sieve hole length specified in the product standard.
Check whether the fibers in the fiber collector contain slag balls. If there are slag balls, they should be placed in the separator for separation.
dry
Place the sieve containing slag balls into an electric drying oven and dry at a temperature of (105-110) ℃ for at least 20 minutes.
screening
Transfer the dried slag balls into the standard sieve with the specified mesh size, add 3 ceramic balls with a diameter of (20 ± 1) mm, cover them, and start the vibrating screen machine to screen for 15 minutes.
metage
Place the screened slag balls on a balance and weigh them to the nearest 0.01g.
Calculation and experimental results
count
The slag ball content sh is calculated according to the following formula:
Sh=m/moX100
In the formula:
Sh - slag ball content, unit: percentage (%);
M - mass of slag ball, in grams (g).
M0- sample mass, measured in grams (g).
2 Results
The experimental results are expressed as the arithmetic mean, accurate to * decimal places. Simultaneously report the aperture size of all sieve holes.
3 Clean up after the experiment for future use.
